“We are often so attached to our frame, game and raft that it becomes a substitute for objective truth, because it is all we have! Inside such entrapment, most people do not see things as they are; they see things as they are…”

About our Service: Today is Last Sunday after the Epiphany of the Lord. On Epiphany proper (January 6) and during the Season of Epiphany (between now and Transfiguration Sunday, March 19, the Sunday before Ash Wednesday), we have begun to ponder how the One born King of the Jews is also the Savior of the World. Today we turn our attentions toward Jesus’ glory, accomplished through his suffering, which is the theme of Lent. Our Meditation is drawn from Falling Upward: A Spirituality for the Two Halves of Life; the Greeting is from Psalm 50, the Psalter for today; the Collect is from the Mozarabic Sacramentary, a sixth-century Spanish prayer book, altered by Timothy J. Crouch, OSL, and cited in And Also with You.
